Tagline:

A fast-talking elderly woman recruits four unexpected women to help fake her death while she extorts her corrupt clients- all schemed from her hospital bed

Synopsis:

Gertie is a fast-talking elderly woman with a smoker's rasp and zero patience for being told what to do. After a fall lands her in the hospital, she discovers her life insurance policy will expire just before her 80th birthday. She calls in her "ladies": Tanya, Daphna, Leba, and Hedi, four neurodivergent women she's mentored, each brilliant in their own chaotic way.
When Gertie asks them to help her die before the policy runs out, they refuse. Instead, they hatch a better plan: fake her death. While stuck in her hospital bed, pumped full of narcotics, Gertie starts blackmailing corrupt former clients—wealthy elites who dismissed her as a harmless eccentric, never realizing she'd been collecting their secrets for years. Her age and invisibility become weapons as she slips through cracks in various guises. Sometimes a little old lady, sometimes a cleaner.
Between blackmail schemes, Gertie drifts through drug-fueled visions of impossible worlds: villages where old becomes young, empathy rehab for bullies, buses breaking patients out of care. What starts as a simple insurance scam spirals into a madcap campaign to fund wildly ambitious dreams—and leave something better behind.
