Synopsis:

Set against the vibrant and cosmopolitan backdrop of Lisbon, Listen To My Lips follows Vera, an aspiring filmmaker with progressive hearing loss, racing against time to achieve success before silence takes over her life. Enrolling in a film directing school, Vera uses her creativity and resilience to navigate a world designed for hearing people, confronting challenges with determination and embracing her unique perspective as an artist.

Vera shares a flat in the Graça neighborhood with Danny, a charismatic Brazilian harboring a secret that complicates his growing connection with her; Érika, a spirited Mexican actor striving to rebuild her career after setbacks in her homeland; and Hassan, an Arab who fled Saudi Arabia due to his sexuality, finding acceptance and self-discovery in Lisbon. Together, they celebrate their diversity, building strong friendships while navigating cultural clashes, personal struggles, and the quest for purpose in a modern world.

As Vera faces the reality of her hearing loss, undergoes cochlear implant surgery, and learns Sign Language, her journey evolves from vulnerability to empowerment. The season culminates with her breakthrough in filmmaking, proving that her differences are her greatest strength.
